Here’s What our Guests think

"Secluded and quiet getaway yet only 15mins drive from town so very convenient for shops, bars, restaurants etc. Brilliant location for exploring the countryside and pretty much all of the highlands is within drivable distance of a couple of hours. The cottage is well appointed and comfortable and set within the hosts working farm so you get a nice experience of country living. Sadly we didn’t spot the resident beavers but did experience plenty of other wildlife around the farm. Hosts Fred and Sofia really welcoming. Communication and check in etc first class"

Colin, Edinburgh.

"A great cottage, recently renovated in a quiet location. Good sized rooms, and well located for Inverness and the rest of the Highlands. Great hosts, and a great place to stay."

Chris, Herefordshire.

"We had a great stay at Fred and Sofia’s cottage. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We enjoy visiting Loch Ness, going north to Ullapool as well as lovely hikes down the road from the cottage. We loved the Farm tour with Fred, it was great learning more about the farm and the animals and the kids loved finding eggs and to feed Standley the calf. Sofia and Fred were great hosts and we loved our stay in the cottage, thank you!"

Anja, London.

"If you look for a great escape to see no neighbours or anybody else around, but your family, then look no further. The ideal place to be the one with the nature.
Highly recommend."

Marats, England.

"We really enjoyed our time at the cottage, it's remote but within 20mins you are in Inverness and have access to all the big shops and restaurants. The location is beautiful and we loved spotting the deer on the first morning. We took Sophia's advice and went for a walk round Reelig Glen, which was such a nice place to visit. If we are visiting Scotland again we would be keen to return. Thank you for a lovely holiday."

Talika, Barnoldswick.

"Sofia's cottage is one of the loveliest little cottage I've been to and with THE BEST views. Sofia was always fast to reply and very patient with my poor communication (Sorry again Sofia for taking ages to reply!).

Anyway, this cottage ticks all my boxes for a perfect getaway:
✅ Hidden away, quiet location
✅ Not too far from the city (20 mins drive to Inverness city centre)
✅ Simple and cozy with amazing decor and indoor log burner
✅ Sunset view from the living room window?! Yes!
✅ Idyllic views to wake up to and while showering too!
✅ A nearby loch to swim in.
✅ Lots of walking trails nearby (absolutely adored Reelig Glen!)
✅ Breathtaking starry night sky (we took our picnic mat, blankets and some pillows and laid down at the frontyard for an hour or so of stargazing every night).

My friends and I enjoyed every second of our stay. Worth every penny. Period."

Aziza, Liverpool.
